Dear Georgina,
I apologise for not writing sooner ,but would like to thank you for providing email addresses to enable me to make contact with a few of your members.
We were in South Africa in January through March this year visiting Kgalagadi where we experienced flooding ,roads were like rivers,could not believe us seeing ducks,greeb and geese swimming in the road !
Oh, we saw a Pangolin and a Brown Hyena.
We also saw the Augrabies Falls in flood most spectacular ,then through the N/E Cape through the Saltana growing region ,they also suffered heavy rain and flooding ,onwards to Coffee Bay and Port Edward ,then upto the Drakensberg to observe the Lammergeir Vulture really interesting.
We stayed at several resorts there before moving on to Marakele ,then to Mapungubwe ,Messina and a month in Kruger National Park ,17000 km later we returned to Cornwall.
We are now planning for next January just to get a little African sunshine ,maybe go back to Zambia or Spurwing Island,Kariba just to avoid the UK chill.
