my dad is not my real dad.
My biological father was a soldier in Llewellyn Barracks in Bulawayo around 1972-1973 where I was born.
His name is Kenny Sandylands and he married Rose Randall who later on had a little boy together.
I would like to reunite with him but I don't know where to start.

Then to Ruzawi from about 1955-60.
Last address The Rectory - Cranbourne.
Parents saw the "writing on the wall" & brought the family to England in the early '60's.
So many memories of Southern Africa & especially Southern Rhodesia.

He was in the Internal Affairs and we lived in Enkeldoorn, Gokwe, Shamva and Buhera.
He then became Principal of Esikoveni in Essexvale till we moved to the UK in 1976.
Got divorced after nearly 25 years and have been married to John for 17 years,lived in Durban
in 91/92 and now in the UK.
Since then working for Virgin Atlantic.

Marandellas and finally back to Salisbury when I started work.
I attended Allan Wilson from 1966-1968 then Marandellas High until 1971.
In 1972 I joined the Comptroller and Auditor General moving to Longmans in 1981 and Randalls in 1983.
With reluctance I left Zimbabwe in 1986 to return to England where I now run my own
successful accounting practice and am married to Debbie with our 4 children
(2 each from previous marriages) all of whom have now left home.

I was born in Nothern Rhodesia and grew up in Umtali and went to shool there, finished in 1976 GHS.
Then lived in South Africa, Natal and Cape Town till 2001 when I moved to Europe.
I run a consulting business, and travel between UK and the Med.
My two children still live in Cape Town and Joburg.

was the matron at the local hospital.

Nick started his schooling at John Cowie School in Rusape and completed his education at Umtali Boys High School
where he achieved colours for Athletics and Long distance running.
He was known to his friends as Oost or Crackers.
He married Daphne in 1974 and they had two children a son and a daughter.
While Nick was playing Mashonaland Polocrosse, in 1983, he met with a nasty accident which left him
impaired for the rest of his life and he sadly passed away after a long struggle in August 2003.

I served on jet, piston and helicopter squadrons and was involved in combat service on all types.
My book, Winds of Destruction, gives my history up to 1980 along with my direct involvement with
SAS, RLI, RAR, Selous Scouts, BSAP etc.
My story includes Air Force Staff College, developing and producing Rhodesia’s own
air weapon systems and service in Combined Operations Headquarters.
Also covered is my direct involvement with the black nationalist commanders of ZANLA and ZIPRA ,
the Commonwealth Monitoring Force commanders and how
Robert Mugabe cheated his way into winning the 1980 elections.

where myself and my four siblings were brought up.
In 1963 I joined an overland safari to England, the leader Dumping us in Giza,
Egypt and running off with out money.
I made it to England where I started work with B.O.A.C. 14-10-63. Rpt 1963, which became British Airways
and finished 28 years later to retire in Cornwall.

and Rhodesia Railways Bulawayo, where we were brought up.

I was born in Bulawayo in 1961 and sent to England at the age of 2.
I am trying to trace my unknown father who worked as a domestic for the Tancock family.
My mothers name is Win [Winifred My sisters Juliet (Julie) and Colleen Tancocks father worked

After leaving Zim in 1981 we taught at a school outside Port Elizabeth (SA)for 19 years.

A great website.
Dave spent most of his life in Salisbury(now Harare)and attended David Livingstone School followed by Churchill.
Then in 1960 his family moved to Bulawayo and he attended Hamilton.
In 1963 he returned to Harare.
He joined the Rhodesian Airforce in 1969 and worked there until 1979.
After that he went into sales and marketing with a couple of firms in Harare.
I lived at the Victoria Falls Power Station for most of my school life and attended Livingstone Junior School,
Hillcrest High School and Arundel School.
I moved to Harare in 1966 where I met Dave.
We moved to the UK in 2001 and would love to hear from any old friends.
